Naíma Almeida is a Brazilian graphic artist focused on hand-made projects and digital illustration.
She sees design as a weft where creative areas intertwine. She does not try to define the limits between design and art, analog and digital, but appreciates the free flow between these areas and different media in search of a satisfying outcome in every project.
Naíma's works are often a bold, graphic and colorful explosion with clear care in the details and color relations. This can be seen in her current felt work, where she makes big compositions with hundreds of felt pieces embedded, overlapping, and glued, one by one.
Her work was selected for the Brazilian Biennial of graphic design and she's also been recognized abroad, in Canada, Europe and Australia. Most recently, she was a finalist of the Modern Craft Project by Wallpaper magazine with her felt work, and she was a finalist in the Ibero-American Biennial of Design in Madrid.
Clients include: Alpargatas, Avon, Melissa, Natura, SESC, The São Paulo Symphony Orchestra, Penguin books, PepsiCo, Under Armour.
