First recognized for her quirky GIF animations, she now experiments across genres, including editorial illustration, animated shorts, portraiture, and typography. Before postsecondary education, Boglio was classically trained for four years by Michel Breban in her hometown of Annecy. She went on to study in Paris and the École Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg, where she discovered the sweet spot between graphic design and illustration—a hybridity that she continues to explore in her personal and commercial portfolios. In addition to self-generated and partner-driven projects, Boglio collaborates with a diverse range of clients and brands—from The New York Times and Women’s Aid to Kiehl’s and Taylor Swift. For many years now, she has led the creative team of Little White Lies, a print magazine celebrating films and filmmakers, published in London, her home of seven years. While she continues to chronicle daily life through GIFs, she looks forward to venturing into the unknown, pursuing new artistic forms along the way. Photo by Joanna Chattman.
